Denise Lee is passionate about all aspects of vision care. She has always worked in private practices which allow her to focus on providing high quality clinical care. She is extremely qualified, gaining many subspecialties in her Masters in Optometry such as therapeutics, specialty contact lenses and children’s vision. She furthered her studies by completing a USA-based Optometric Extension Program, a clinical curriculum in behavioural developmental vision. She is respected in her field and has given presentations to optometrists and doctors. She offers student clinical placements and welcomes colleagues to sit in during specialty eye examinations.

She has keen interests in the field of myopia control and dry eyes. Her first child was a myope at the age of 8. She researched all the latest tools to find ways to help her daughter and the many children she sees at her clinic. Denise suffers from dry eyes and understands how debilitating this disease can be. She invested her time to up-skill her knowledge in this growing field and purchased all the latest technological treatments to set up a dry eye clinic. She is one of the few practices in Australia that offers all forms of dry eye and myopia control treatments.

Denise grew up in Springvale, attending the local Catholic primary and secondary school. She decided to set up her own practice in 1999 to give back to the community she grew up in. She enjoys spending time with her family especially watching her daughter perform gymnastics and her son play basketball. She loves gardening and keeping fit. Being fluent in a few dialects of Chinese, she is able to build rapport with her Chinese patients.
